Bathis one of Britain's most elegant historic cities. Situated in England's South West, its history spans back some two thousand years to Roman times.

Bath is famous for many things, and high on the list of attractions must be the Roman Baths. Heated by the earth's core, the spring that feeds the baths remains at a constant 46.5 degrees Centigrade.

Bath's Abbey was founded in the years after the Romans left Britain, and has for centuries been one of the most important churches in England. It has since had the Cathedral built on the same site. The cathedral that replaced the abbey was so large that the new nave was the same size as the old abbey itself.

The Royal crescent is one of the finest architectural prospects in Europe, with a magnificent curve of 30 Bath stone houses built in the middle of the 18th century by John Wood the younger.
